ABOUT US
Red House was founded in 1987 by Ryoichi Ishibashi, who had trained for eight years at a domestic guitar workshop.
At first, the company focused on repair and modification, especially on repairing vintage guitars. This became the foundation for the guitar manufacturing business. After that, the company expanded as it began producing OEM products for global brands.
By meeting the quality and technology required by the OEM, Red House has made a big leap forward in guitar manufacturing and has established its ability to manufacture instruments at a world-class level. In parallel with this, we have continued to receive and respond to numerous repairs and modifications, and have been able to accumulate a large stock of answers to the question, "What kind of instruments are needed in various situations?"
We have now officially launched our original brand, "Red House Guitars," named after our company, in 2020, by condensing and reflecting all the experience and know-how we have gained thus far. In conjunction with this, we have entered into a business partnership with Wired Music Inc. to strengthen our sales system. With Wired Music Inc. becoming our exclusive distributor, we have established a sales system not only in Japan but also in countries around the world.
Red House's manufacturing guidelines are to create instruments that can be used stably for a long time, while achieving "stress-free playing feel," "a sound that doesn't get lost in a band ensemble," and "stable pitch on each string and each fret."
To make this possible, we carry out our manufacturing process with careful consideration of material selection, design and processing precision, and part selection.
Our lineup is wide, from vintage to modern, and we accurately express the characteristics of each instrument based on our experience and track record. We will continue to provide uncompromising "usable instruments."

Ryoichi Ishibashi
Master Builder & CEO
In 1979, he joined the Harayama Guitar Factory in Matsumoto City. After training for eight years under a master craftsman with the industry's leading skills and an eye for discerning materials, he became involved in the manufacture of guitars and basses for many well-known domestic and international manufacturers.
In 1987, he went independent and founded Red House Guitars.
Their outstanding skills have earned them a reputation, and they perform repairs, adjustments, and neck creation for famous musicians both in Japan and abroad.
Before long, their technology and capabilities became known in the industry, and they became one of the OEM production bases for Guitar & Bass, a world-famous brand known for its strict quality standards.
He then used his know-how and experience to launch his own brand, Red House Guitars.
While incorporating the best of vintage guitars, the many unique options that have been born from the brand's attitude of always working on ideas for improvement give us a sense of the still-potential for the evolution of electric guitars and basses, a field that was said to have ended decades ago.
